Temple Square

We made it to temple square this year with some friends of ours. We went to dinner then headed over to the temple. I think we all agreed it is definitely a different experience going out in public with two car seats and two toddlers. We had a great time and the weather cooperated which was an extra bonus.

Haylee requested that she take this picture "all by my self!"

All bundled and warm, I can't believe he stayed awake for the whole thing. It was way past his bedtime.

She wanted to........

.........match her Katie bear and I was trying to think of a red dress she has and even though this one is 18-24 month size it still fits and matches just right.

Little man ready for church.
We just had to get out of the house. We were going to stir crazy. S o we bundled up and went to the mailbox.
Can we say regressing.
Thanksgiving, I remember growing up we would do fun crafts and make pilgrim and Indian hats and dress up. It didn't go quite as I had planned.

He loves watching the dog and is so fascinated with Vegas. And all Vegas is thinking is "Little boy if you could just reach the door handle you could let me inside, it's freezing!!"
Giving kisses to the baby doll. What a sweetie.
We now have one to add to the bunch. Ella was born on the 30th!! Were glad she's here safe.

We've got "HO HO" fever

Can I just say I've got the best father in law in the world (so does Lauren Johnson). My father in law has built 98% of our basement! He is so talented and has such a gift for building things, fixing things and just a general handy man. We are so close to being done you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. This rock fire place is just a sneak peak of what the finished product will be and I am over the moon about it. Let's just say I'll be having a lot of movie nights at our house. Thanks Mike!!
Haylee wrote a Christmas list to Santa and Santa responded!! She was sooooo excited. We are just counting down the days to Christmas, actually we're counting down the days until we can go to grandma and papa's house.
I sometimes forget that it is going to be his first Christmas. It just seems like he has been here much longer than 8 months. Cutie.
I remember growing up getting a Christmas pillowcase and I thought it was so special when Christmas came around and I could us my special pillowcase. Really I think I used it year around sometimes. Santa says this should help her go to bed at night since she has such a hard time with bedtime. Let's all cross our fingers and hope this works. If you read the last post the positive reinforcement was short lived. She's not that excited about the reward chart anymore.

Breakfast in Bed ............for a 3 year old

It wasn't her birthday or any special occasion this is just simply the result of Haylee staying in her bed when we put her to bed. As you can see there is a reward chart on her wall and she has to get two stickers to get her "special treat". The first one was popcorn and a movie second was sucker and a movie and the third was breakfast in bed. She was soooooo excited. This girl has hated to go to bed for the past two years and so we have resorted to the reward chart. I thought these reward charts were for a little bit older kids but I have to use it on my three year old. Whatever works.... right.

Halloween

My little pumpkin and princess, being the diva that she is of course there was a costume change mid day of the festivities. She started out as sleeping beauty and finished the day with snow white.

Her best friend across the street, Lucy. If I would allow it Haylee would play with Lucy all day everyday. There only six days apart.
Carving pumpkins on Halloween has been a tradition the past few years or at least since Haylee has been born.

Thing 1 and Thing 2

I got the painters bug in me and decided to paint the wall going down my stairs. I thought our house could use a splash of color and I'm very happy with how it turned out.
Last Friday we went to the Wren's highly anticipated Halloween party and had a blast. Of course I waited till last minute to put our costume together (doesn't mean I hadn't been thinking about what we were going to be). Jason was a good sport seeing that he had the more awkward part of the deal. We had a blast and it was great to get out of the house.
I love love love Sunday best dress. The kids look well groomed and Haylee looks forward to wearing a dress every opportunity she can get.
Yep he's crawling!

This is Haylee's new drawing, she was into writing "H"s for awhile there but now she likes to draw families.

Girls Just Wanna have Fun

Guess what? Lucy , our neighbor, turned three. She had the ultimate dress up mommy and me party. Including dinner, nail station, hair station, and accessories station. It was girlie overload. Amy also made the coolest cake which was none other than a purse! They proceeded downstairs for a fashion show and photo shoot. Can I just say I LOVE having a girl. I think I had as much fun as Haylee did.
